Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) of Prince William County was founded in 1969 by 13 local churches to address community needs. Initially focused on providing food and furniture to those in crisis, ACTS has since expanded its services to include emergency assistance, housing support, crisis helplines, and programs for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. The organization operates a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) serving the Greater Prince William Area, including Manassas and Manassas Park, and the Towns of Haymarket, Occoquan, Quantico, and Dumfries.

​Led the Instructional Services team in directing all leadership decisions for instructional programs, technology, professional development, program evaluation, and equity initiatives. Served as the critical instructional decision-maker in leading the school divisions' instruction through the COVID-19 Pandemic and developed and coordinated the Academic Plan for the 2021 - 2022 School Year

Spotsylvania County Public Schools

Responsible for overseeing the instruction of more than 23,000 students and co-leading a 176 million instruction budget from 2012-2013. Leadership oversight included supporting division-wide efforts to address the achievement gap through school improvement planning, developing professional learning communities, and creating and implementing a Response to Intervention model for all schools. Direct supervision of the Commonwealth Governors School, Alternative education programs, career and technical education, 12 secondary school principals, two elementary school principals, and four curriculum instruction specialists

Director of School Safety and Discipline Hearing Officer
Hanover County Public Schools

​Responsible for leading district-wide initiatives for school safety and crisis response and oversight of all school division policies and procedures governing student conduct. The critical leader in implementing comprehensive safety practices, processes, and initiatives in compliance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) funded by a $250,000 Readiness and Emergency Management Schools (REMS) grant. Evaluated the district's security program annually and certified each school's crisis plans and protocols. As Hearing Officer, conduct discipline hearings, reenroll adjudicated students, and expedite alternative educational placement.

The chief instructional leader is responsible for developing, evaluating, and enhancing curricular and extracurricular programs to reflect student achievement and growth. Provided leadership for the planning, development, and implementation of the school curriculum. Observed staff and faculty performance, documented observations, and conducted evaluation conferences. Collaborated with department heads and faculty to compile annual budget requests based on documented program needs and developed a student discipline management system that performed safety inspections, reviewed emergency procedures, and conducted regular drills.
